The new youth-focused vertical, Ed-BSK, on the BSK portal intends to provide educational services like admissions and certificate downloads directly at the grassroots level, involving colleges and universities. This initiative aims to bring tailored educational opportunities and related online public services to the youth, addressing their specific needs and challenges.

The Architecture of Ed-BSK

The objective of the Ed-BSK vertical is to provide a centralized, user-friendly platform that facilitates seamless access to educational services from empanelled universities and colleges. This platform enhances user convenience by eliminating the need for multiple logins and location-specific access while strictly adhering to data privacy standards by ensuring that personal information is accessed only with explicit consent.

Ed-BSK module will cover all the services related to Schools, College and University thorugh BSK Portal. The Services Includs as follows:

• Application Submission for Admission in College / University
• Download of Admit Card / Marksheets / Others, if any
• Search Course, Result, and others
• Submission of all kinds of Fees (Admission / Tuition / Exam / Others etc.)

Centralized College Admission (Under Graduate)

West Bengal State Council of Higher Education has introduced Centralised Admission Portal from 2024-2025 academic session considering the need for uniformity and transparency in the admission system in all Colleges and Universities throughout the state with a view to help the desiring students to find out the Undergraduate courses of his /her choice and get admission as per eligibility in any one of the 16 Universities and 461 Government and Government-aided Colleges/ Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) through this portal. The Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal welcomes all students and wishes them a hassle-free admission journey to the path of Higher Education in West Bengal.
