Overview of Bangla Sahayata Kendra and public service mission.
Bangla Sahayata Kendra (BSK) is a flagship citizen service delivery initiative of the Government of West Bengal, designed to bring government services closer to people through a transparent, technology-enabled platform.
To ensure that every citizen, especially those in rural and remote areas, can easily access government schemes and services, the Government has established 3,561 Bangla Sahayata Kendras across the state. These centres provide assisted digital services free of cost, helping citizens apply for, track, and receive benefits from various government departments through a simple and guided process.
BSKs are strategically located in District Magistrate Offices, Sub-Divisional Offices, Block Development Offices, Gram Panchayats, Health Centres, Government-Aided Libraries, and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), ensuring service access within local communities.
Citizens can avail a wide range of public services including transaction-based services, eWallet-enabled services, and information services from multiple government departments. The Kendras function as a single service window for welfare schemes, certificates, bill payments, and other government facilities.
The Personnel & Administrative Reforms and e-Governance Department is the Nodal Department for BSK. A dedicated state-level Project Management Unit (PMU) oversees network operations, service quality, system reliability, and overall efficiency.

AI-Driven Digital Transformation
As part of building a smarter and more responsive citizen service ecosystem, BSK is progressively integrating AI into service delivery.
Provide personalized service recommendations based on citizen needs and service history.
Support multilingual chatbots and virtual assistants for 24x7 guidance on schemes and applications.
Enable AI-assisted training and knowledge systems for BSK operators across districts.
Analyze service usage patterns to support more efficient and citizen-centric program design.
These capabilities are helping BSK evolve into a smart digital governance platform with faster assistance, better awareness, and improved service accessibility.
Free and Inclusive Citizen Services
All services through Bangla Sahayata Kendras are completely free of cost. Citizens are not required to pay any service charges for availing government services at these centres.
Through the combined strength of technology, governance, and grassroots delivery, BSK continues to strengthen the vision of Digital West Bengal by enabling convenient and equitable access to public services.
